Welcome to the online portfolio of Philip VanEpps. I am a graphic designer from Goochland, Virginia. I graduated from Longwood University in May of 2010 with a BFA Degree in Graphic Design. I also work with photography and stained glass on a regular basis. I like to design on a very practical side but also push the limits. I have a strong interest in type and enjoy satire type advertising work as well as promotional print design. I am comfortable with web design but have a stronger passion for print media. I am a very enthusiastic designer and enjoy working with others as well as working in a team atmosphere.

          I am a very hands on and craft oriented artist and designer. I have always been the type to take things apart to see how they work and curious about more than what meets the eye. As I have grown into the current artist I am i have learned to take this part of my personality and embrace it in my work. I enjoy the use of scanned 2d and 3d objects within digital design projects. As a glass artist as well as a designer I take ideas from each medium and use aspects of one within the other. My art is often very simplistic in obvious imagery but strong in designs, lines and colors.

As a recent graduate I am currently searching for employment in the state of Virginia or surrounding states. I am idealy looking for a job in the print design field but I am very open to new things. I am a very fast learner and pick up my surroundings very quickly and effectivly. Graphic Design is something that I truely enjoy and I am very excitied to a future in the Field as a designer. I am available for freelance work and I am always looking for a new challenge to tackle with art and design projects.
